Mental health can be described as our emotional, psychological and social wellbeing.
Most people experience periods of low mood or feelings of anxiety. However, some people experience these feelings in a way that profoundly impacts their everyday life.
Mental health issues range from common problems, such as depression and anxiety, to rarer problems such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
If you need advice and support in a crisis, the West London NHS Trust provides a mental health crisis helpline on 0800 328 4444. The helpline is open 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
To request support from us:
If you wish to request support from us, we first need to assess your needs and financial eligibility.

Please note - paying for social care
It's important to understand that social care from any local authority, unlike the NHS, is not free. Please read more about what you might need to pay and make sure you're aware of this before requesting or agreeing to any services.
Specialist support from us
After a care assessment, our specialist team that supports adults with mental health needs is the Adult localities mental health team (ALMHT).
Working closely with the NHS and other partner agencies, ALMHT strives to improve the mental wellbeing and promote the recovery of Hounslow residents.
