Travel schemes and passes

There is a range of travel schemes and passes that may be available to you.

You may be eligible for free and discounted travel on buses, trams and other transport services.

TfL offers a range of accessible guides to help you plan and make journeys. These guides are available in a variety of formats such as:

  • audio maps
  • large print maps and guides

You can download or complete an online order free of charge. 

You can book assistance in advance on the London Overground and Elizabeth line if you need help travelling. Bookings must be made two hours in advance. 

You can book Passenger Assistance by: 

TfL staff are also trained to offer assistance and support if needed. You can carry TfL’s printable travel support card to help you to communicate when you need assistance or information when travelling. 

This is a free mentoring service that supports people with mobility issues or a disability to travel independently on public transport in and around London.

This pass is for people aged five to 60 years who have disabilities and wish to travel free on:

  • London buses
  • London Underground trains
  • London Overground trains, which includes some National Rail services

This card gives a discount, for people with disabilities and the person they are travelling with, on the National Rail network.

A Blue Badge allows disabled people to park closer to their destination. They are issued to people, not vehicles, so you can use them in any vehicle you travel in.

Our travel training service offers travel training for people aged 16+ with either:

  • a learning or physical disability
  • autism
  • a mental health difficulty
  • sensory impairments
  • a long-term health condition

This fund can help towards education-related travel costs if you are aged 16 to 19.
