Direct let scheme (DLS)

This scheme allows you to manage your property. We nominate tenants and you choose them.

You and the tenant will then have a standard assured shorthold tenancy agreement.

In this arrangement, we do not guarantee rent. However, we provide a generous incentive amount which will be yours to keep.

Requirements

To meet our requirements, you will need:

  • a furnished or unfurnished property with white goods (fridge freezer, cooker and oven)
  • to charge local housing allowance (LHA) rate rent for the area
  • to provide:
    • confirmation of:
      • working smoke alarms
      • a working carbon monoxide detector
    • proof of ownership
    • gas safety certificate
    • electrical safety certificate for the duration of the tenancy
    • energy performance certificate with an SAP exceeding 50
    • a draft of the assured shorthold tenancy agreement
