Supported living

Supported living is a shared living arrangement between two, three or more people with similar disabilities or health conditions.

Residents receive support from live-in or visiting support workers.

We have accommodation that is suitable for people with high, medium and low needs. These include ‘move on’ sites, which aim to help people to eventually live independently.

About the accommodation

Supported living accommodation varies according to what the residents need. It often includes:

  • your own room with a private or shared bathroom
  • a communal living room, kitchen and other facilities
  • social activities
  • help with life skills such as:
    • help with money and budgeting
    • cooking
    • computer skills
    • training and employment
  • 1:1 support

We work with several organisations to provide supported living accommodation. These include St Mungos and Certitude.

Applying for supported living

To apply for supported living accommodation, we first need to make an assessment of your care needs.
