Apply for a child performance licence
To apply for a child performance licence, you need to provide:
- part 2 of the performance licence application form (MS Word document), which needs to be:
- fully completed
- signed and dated by both the applicant and parent
- a copy of the child’s birth certificate
- a passport style photograph of the child taken within the last six months
- a letter from the child’s school authorising absence for rehearsals and/or performances (where applicable)
- a copy of the performance/rehearsal schedule (where applicable)
- a copy of the applicant’s child protection/safeguarding policy
- a copy of the location-specific risk assessment
- a copy of the contract or draft contract (if issued)
You need to apply at least ten full working days before the first date of the performance, excluding weekends and bank holidays. Applications received after 6pm will be counted as being received the next working day.
Applications are online. To apply, you need the necessary documents ready to upload. We cannot process the application without them.
