Emergency help for carers

A carer's emergency card provides reassurance for you in your caring role.

It sets out a plan for what would happen if you were suddenly unable to provide care. For example, if you were in an accident or emergency situation.

It ensures there's a contingency plan for the 'cared for' person for at least 48 hours. Longer-term arrangements can be made if needed.

Cost

There is no cost to you to register for a carer’s emergency card.

Register
