Safeguarding adults board

Our safeguarding adults board is responsible for ensuring that adults at risk of abuse are offered effective support.

It is also responsible for developing plans to prevent abuse.

About the board

The board is made up of senior representatives from:

  • social care
  • health
  • police
  • criminal justice
  • voluntary sector organisations

Members of the board make decisions on behalf of the organisation or sector they represent.

The board chair ensures there is effective challenge between members and that the board acts as objectively as possible.
