You can renew library items in person, online or over the phone, provided the items have not been reserved by someone else.
You can renew your items 10 times. If you have already renewed 10 times, take your items to a local library to be returned and reissued.
How to renew items
You can renew your items online. Sign in with your library card number and PIN, then select My Account to see your account information.
To renew in person, take your library card to one of our local libraries.
To renew by telephone, tell us your library card number and name. If you do not have your card number, we'll need to confirm additional details after you give your name. Find your library's phone number.
Other information
If an item has been reserved it cannot be renewed and you'll need to return it before the due date to avoind a fine.
If you have fines of over £10 on your account you cannot renew items online or by telephone until the fine is paid. Visit the library to pay your fine and renew.
If you have forgotten your PIN, contact your local library. We cannot give PIN details over the phone.
