Club gaming or club machine permit
Eligibility and application
- Who can apply: Private members clubs, miners' welfare institutes, and commercial clubs running up to 3 category B4, C, or D gaming machines and games of chance.
- Permits allow: Equal chance gaming, games of chance, and gaming machines. Club gaming permits allow pontoon and chemin de fer, while club machine permits focus on poker and bingo.
Application process
- Download form: Club gaming and machine permit application form (PDF)
- Fee: £200 for new applications or renewals. The annual fee is £50, payable within 30 days of issuance. For any other fees and charges please contact licensing@hounslow.gov.uk
- Submission: Submit forms and arrange payment via email or telephone (020 8583 4711) to the Licensing team.
After application
- Permits are valid for 10 years
- Appeal rejections to the Magistrates Court if applicable. Replacement for lost permits costs £15.
Prize gaming permit
Eligibility and application
- Who can apply: Individuals aged 18+ who are occupiers of the relevant premises. Club gaming or premises licence holders are ineligible.
- Fee: £300 for new applications or renewals.

- Submission: Send completed form and make payment by telephone.
After application
- Valid for 10 years upon meeting standards. Appeal against rejections if necessary.
Alcohol licensed premises gaming machine Permit
Eligibility and application
- Who can apply: Premises holding a licence under the Licensing Act 2003 wishing to operate category C and D machines.
Permit vs. notification
- Permit: Required for 3+ machines.
- Notification: Applies to 1-2 machines.
Application process
- Complete form: Licensed gaming maching permit application form (PDF)
- Fee: £50 notification fee; £150 for 3+ machines.
- Submission: Forms and payment via email or telephone.

After application:
- Valid for 10 years with an annual fee of £50. Appeal rejections as needed.
Small Society Lottery Registration
Registration process
- Criteria: Lottery funds must not exceed £20,000 in one event or £250,000 annually.
- New Applications and Renewals: New applications cost £40; renewals £20.
